Case Histories by Kate Atkinson

Case Histories (Jackson Brodie, #1)Case Histories by Kate Atkinson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Three seemingly unconnected cold cases: child abduction and 2 murders. Throw in some missing cats and Jackson Brodie has his hands full! A cast of really interesting characters many of whom are hiding secrets. As the cases start to intertwine someone has murderous intentions. Can Jackson solve the cases before he gets bumped off!

Towards the end I couldn’t put this down and I had to finish it as it raced towards the climax. Jackson is a far from perfect hero – ex squaddie, ex policeman, ex husband. The impact of the cold cases on the lives of the people left behind are well written. Cambridge will never seem the same again after this!
